Have you made granola or muesli before? If not you really should! It’s super simple and comes together in no time at all. And because you make it yourself you will know exactly what is in it. This Honey Pecan Granola is super tasty and has lots of nuts and seeds so it’s packed with goodness.
- Sunflower seeds
- Orange zest
- Olive oil
To Make the Pecan Honey Granola
Firstly, preheat your oven to 175c on fan-bake and line a baking dish with baking paper. Then add all the ingredients into a medium sized bowl and stir well to combine.
Then, spread the combined Honey Pecan Muesli mixture evenly over the lined baking tray. Bake the mixture for 4 minutes then remove from the oven and stir well.
Then continue baking the Honey Pecan Granola for a further 4 minutes. Make sure that you check the muesli as it cooks to make sure it does not burn. When golden brown remove the muesli from the oven and cool completely. Store the muesli in an airtight container for several weeks.
You could easily make this granola vegan by replacing the honey for maple syrup – though technically would then be called Maple Pecan Granola 😉. You could also use coconut oil instead of the olive oil. If you wanted this to be gluten free you can either use certified gluten free oats or replace the oats with an equal measure of more nuts and seeds.

- 150g rolled oats (1 1/2 cups)
- 100g pecans
- 50g almonds
- 25g sunflower seeds
- 25g peppitas
- 1/2 tsp cinnamon
- zest of half an orange
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- 1 tbsp of honey
- Preheat the oven to 175c fan bake and line a baking dish with baking paper
- In a medium sized bowl mix all of the ingredients together taking care to ensure that the oil and honey has evenly coated the dry ingredients
- Spread out the mixture evenly onto the baking dish and bake for 4 minutes
- Remove the muesli from the oven, stir and turn the mixture then replace the tray into the oven and bake for another 4 minutes, checking to make sure the mixture does not burn
- When golden brown remove from the oven and set aside to cool before serving.
Once cooled store in an airtight container for several weeks.
